Creatures Up Close

As part of British Science Week we welcomed Laura and Wilson from Creatures Up Close to show Year 7 some of their amazing animals.

Wednesday’s visitors were Crash the bearded dragon; Fry the leopard gecko, Rosie a 10 year old Boa snake, Theo the Royal python, Smaug a Golden tegu lizard from Columbia and Slinky the blue tongued skink.

Year 7 have had a great time getting up close to the animals and finding out about where they live, what they eat and what it takes to look after these wonderful creatures.  A few pupils were really brave and realised some of these animals aren’t as scary as they first thought!

We look forward to welcoming them back on Thursday when Sumo the giant tortoise will be among the many different visitors to school.
