A group of Year 10 student's had the opportunity to attend an Open Day event at the University of Sunderland on Wednesday 14th October to explore the range of subjects and courses available and to take part in some interactive demonstrations to experience what these courses could be like.

This week we celebrated National Poetry Day in the library! Our poetry washing line gave all students the chance to choose a Poetry Postcard to pass on. After-school, our Black-Out Poetry and Biscuits event was a whirlwind of creativity. Students recycled old book pages to construct their own black out poems and got messy decorating biscuits to design edible mini poems! Thank you to all students who got stuck in!

We are delighted to have made a generous donation to Key to Life Foodbank as part of our Harvest Festival Appeal. A huge thank you must go to our wonderful school ambassadors, who have worked tirelessly co-ordinating  the appeal and encouraging our school community to get involved. Your kindness, organisation and commitment have helped make a real difference to those in our local community. Thank you to everyone who donated and supported the appeal.
