Employers & Providers
All students at Jarrow School should be able to connect their curriculum learning with potential career paths and understand the relevance of this to their future. Not only this, but to be aware of the diverse learning opportunities available to them, encompassing both academic and vocational paths and that these opportunities span across schools, colleges, universities, and workplace environments. Furthermore, we strive to provide students with meaningful opportunities to engage with employers to learn about various careers, employment practices, and the skills valued in the workplace.
We are always open to building new working relationships with partners that can support our careers provision and improve the opportunities and experiences of our students. To summarise, the key areas we would like to work with external partners on are to:
- Increase student understanding of the post-16 options available to them
- Expose students to a wide range of career sectors and roles
- Help students to understand the nature of the workplace, as much as possible
- Assist students in understanding their curriculum learning links to their future careers journey
Such opportunities can be facilitated through organisation of guest speakers, visits, in-house or onsite workshops, assemblies etc. We are open to suggestions of any format.
